Screaming Bathtub Music was formed by Sophie Romy, am0rphy and Andy T. in 2020 in Hildesheim, and joined by Lotti in 2021. Since then their members merge their various artistic backgrounds into music, relying on experimental noisy synths, self-confident garage punk sounds, voice modulation, absurd video projections and silence that combine to create story-like dramaturgies. 2021 they released their first studio single „no comfort“, got promoted by the „Care Paket Kultur“ program of local „Kulturratskeller“ where they played a streamed gig. In early summer 2022 they started several jams to promote networking among local queer* and/or woman musicians. Since then they have been joined by another eight musicians and performers and have played gigs at „Wagenplatz Wilde Hilde“ and „State of the Art Festival“, „Sauna“, and „Club VEB“ Hildesheim, as well as on protest occasions.
